A 57 years young US expat living in Cyprus. Throughout the two decades of raising our son in a majority challenging and complicated marriage, I realized I had lost myself by constantly putting everyone and everything first, instead of prioritizing my own well-being. This resulted in my inner light dimming and me becoming a mere shell of the independent, confident, generous, and fun person I used to be. I let stress, constant negativity, financial instability, and overall unhappiness control and consume all aspects of my life, which became my “norm”. Externally, I falsely appeared strong, happy, and confident, while internally, I was hollow, lonely, insecure, and depressed.

I knew I had to take control and make serious decisions for my mental health and overall well-being. Through my rediscovery and reawakening journey, I discovered substantial numbers of couples (specifically women) are in similar scenarios and circumstances.

I started MyOwnStatusQuo to provide cost-effective solutions and resources to support mid-life women with taking the first step to begin this necessary, emotional, and ultimately fulfilling journey for POSITIVE change.
